How To Prepare For 2022

Can you believe it's almost 2022? 🎉

Before you jump into the New Year, I encourage you to take time to reflect on 2021.

Take time to recognize your progress, what you learned, and be grateful for your favorite moments.

As we head into the New Year, I thought it would be fun to share three things I'm grateful for from 2021, and three resolutions for 2022.

Three Things I'm Grateful for:

01. Fun Photoshoots 📸

In 2021, I got to do so many fun photoshoots with so many amazing brands like Shore, Sashka Co, Get Casely, and more! 🌊

It's been so much fun to collaborate with @nicolexashleyy as a stylist, and to have the opportunity to be creative in the photoshoots. It’s always a blast to go to unique locations and work with different props and models.

I’ve been working with Get Casely for a few years now. Their phone cases are such great quality and I love that they are open to different ideas of shooting backgrounds and locations.

Sashka Co is another one of my favorite brands that I work with. The owner is local to Sarasota and they help women in Nepal with jobs. The women in Nepal make these beautiful and great quality bracelets. I’ve had a joy with working with them again this year.

I also captured a lot more weddings this past year. Its been such a neat journey to document so many different love stories. 💕

The couples I work with are always so fun and gracious. It means so much that they trust me not only to document their wedding day, but to create their images as I’m shooting.

I’m so grateful they trust me to capture their love story and do crazy things like run around for a photo. It’s been such a joy to get to know them and their families. It’s been such a sentimental experience to share special moments with them as the couples become pregnant and their family grows.

02. Baby Beau 🍼

I've had the privilege and blessing of getting pregnant. Joey and I were trying for a while (about six months), which felt like a long time in the moment. Joey and I are so excited to meet Beau in the New Year, Lord willing.

Let me know below if you’d like me to share more about our pregnancy journey.

Pregnancy is such a new endeavor. It almost feels similar to getting a new job.

I’ve never had another job aside from being a photographer. So it’s exciting to embark on this new journey of holding this new role of being a mother. But it’s something that we’re designed and created to do. I can’t wait to walk in this new journey and to love my child.

03. New Opportunities 🙌

It's been a joy for Joey and I to work with Ashley Home Store to create the nursery. We’ll have blog posts and other content coming out soon, so please continue to stay tuned.

I have a family tab on the right that you should be able to click on to see that content soon. It’s been so fun to have Ashley Home Store help me design and put together the nursery. Joey has been working so hard and staying up late to help put it together.

Getting to photograph and make reels has also been such a joy.

Ashley Home Store has such an amazing team and it’s been a a great experience to work with them. They have such quality content but they appreciate the value in working with a smaller micro-influencer like me.

In 2022, I really want to talk more about motherhood, and what it’s like to be a first time mom. I’d also like to share my experiences of raising my child to know the Lord and sharing the gospel with my child. I plan to share different baby items that I have and how to be minimalistic as well.

Three New Year's Resolutions:

01. Prioritize Rest. 😴

In 2022, I want to spend more time with family and focus on raising Beau.

02. Share more of the gospel. 📖

In 2022, I want to be more vulnerable about my personal life, and the Lord.

03. Steward all that I do. 😌

In 2022, whether it is photography, motherhood, or serving in my church, I want to steward everything that I do.

I hope this inspired you to reflect on 2021 as you prepare for the New Year.

I am so excited for 2022 and for the opportunity to share my journey with you!
